Guild Wars 2 will offi­cially launch on Tues­day, August 28th.

The pre­dic­tion of that Are­naNet will tell us some­thing today returned true.  In an offi­cial blog post today, the devel­op­ers have announced the release date for Guild Wars 2 to be in exactly two months from now, not count­ing the 3-day head start for pre-purchasers :D .

Rejoice, as of now: the wait is offi­cially over!

An unfor­tu­nate sched­ule con­flict pre­vented me from play­ing in the stress test yes­ter­day.  Although it is good to know that the next Beta Week­end Event will be about a month from now, July 20~22.
