At a time I thought it isn’t possible, or at least not worth the trouble trying, to achieve Guild Wars Hall of Monument 30/50.  The magic number is a measurement of dedication of Guild Wars players in term of completion of content.  My progress was stuck on 21/50 for quite some time.  After a closer look at the HoM Calculator, I found that grinding for the horrible Zaishen Key title that normally would last months is unnecessary.  So, three days later, I did it.

To any one who wonders what’s the significance of 30/50.  It is the highest I need to go to unlock all the item rewards in Guild Wars 2.  Scores higher than 30 only give additional titles in GW2, which is not appealing for most people to grind for, especially since GW2 is out.

Anyway, the original plan was to hit 30/50 before GW2’s server come online, which did not happen, thanks ArenaNet’s generous act of opening the floodgate three hours early.  Much of my time was spent on vanquishing areas “along the way” while completing the Wayfarer’s Reverie: an event ArenaNet added in celebration of GW2’s release; basically a world wide sightseeing tour of the landmarks.

Following pages have a bunch of screenshots I took along the way.
