Rawr everyone~ Happy new year, 2010, the Year of Tiger~
Having nothing better to do other than sitting in front of my PC and enjoy Umineko no naku koro ni Episode 6, I am very much content with my new year’s eve. Ryuu-chan’s holiday present is wonderful and since the start of Umineko’s serialization, it became some sort of necessity.
Though I gotta say that Ep6 is nothing like I imagined: an episode filled with love and Battler’s prowess as the new Game Master. In a sense, Episode 6, the Dawn of the Golden Witch, is centered around the theme of love… however, it’ll be much better without Battler being so much of a failure. Wait, I’d better put up spoiler tag from now on lol.
There was a fake, but this one is real, as I tested it myself.

Annual new year present is fabulous as ever~
I finished nekoneko’s Scarlett for over two months and even now I still don’t know where to start on this “review”. The game isn’t extremely good or bad, or has anything shockingly innovative… it gave me the “just right” feeling which is hard to go around different angles to elaborate. Then like the old sayings: time makes things right.
Scarlett is the last title produced by one of the more creative VN companies: nekoneko, before it halted its production for more than three years. I don’t really have anything to say about the company except that I heard their titles are of solid quality; which concurs with my opinion on Scarlett.
The game’s story is not suspense filled with plot twists or drama full of moot or emo snippets. Scarlett actually tells a spy story–something you don’t see a lot from visual novels. Myself is not an expert on spy stories, so as a result, nothing really to compare to. But rest assured the quality of the script, without doubt, got me hooked instantly.

I guess although late, I’m not too late. >.<
Now you know what’s coming up next: some screenshots from the game that aren’t too much of a spoiler. So if you are completely blocking all info regarding ep6, or haven’t complete ep5, continue at your own risk~
Whenever I am just too fed up by this game, I think about this loli, then I am motivated again.

Game OP
There are several (needless) confessions I’d like to make. First: I have no immunity against Fue-san’s drawing style ever since being introduced to Katahane; and yes, that is the reason I started playing this game, ignoring the alarmingly low ratings from eroge. Second confession: I now regret about spending time on this game.
Ironically, after playing its trial version, I felt this game could be something. Another lesson learned besides to not be seduced by a title only for its graphics is: do not trust a game’s trial version to be a good representation of the game.
By now you should be able to tell that I really dislike Volume7. I don’t tend to write negative reviews since if a game doesn’t fit my taste; I wouldn’t want to finish it and certainly wouldn’t spend time writing about it. But let this be an exception… I can’t seem to find any English review for Volume7 at all. Something is better than nothing. Be warned though, since the game is not translated, there’s good chance that my info is not accurate xD
